What Determines the Right Hot Tub Cover For Me?
#1 - Safety: All Prestige Spa Cover are made to UL & ASTMF-1340-91 Standards & include include 4 child-proof tie-downs.
#2 - Energy Efficiency is determined by the thickness of the cover. The majority of hot tub covers in use are 4"x2", meaning 4" thick at the fold and then tapers down to 2" for water runoff. A 5"x3" thick cover is also available and will pay for itself in energy savings in a short time.
#3 - Water Logged Covers. A soggy cover can not hold any R-Value. The heat simply escapes through the water soaked foam. Also once the foam is water soaked, it is possible for mold to grow inside the cover. An optional Prestige Spa Cover Permaliner creates an additional 4 Mil chemical resistant barrier for water absorption.
#4 - Foam Density. Prestige Spa Covers are available in 1lb, 1.5lb & 2Lb foam density. Foam density determines the strength of the cover to withstand snow buildup or possibility of pets jumping on the cover. The higher the density the stronger the cover.
# 5 - Vinyl Material. Prestige Spa Covers are manufactured using specialty manufactured vinyl for spa covers and energy efficient polystyrene inserts. Each insert is heat-sealed with a poly vapor moisture barrier to protect your spa cover against water absorption. Inhibitors in both the vinyl & thread
prevent premature aging of your spa cover, which all add up to a superior product. Choose from 11 colors.
Poly Tec Weathershield Material. Poly Tec Fabric is 100 solution-dyed polyester with a urethane coating. Poly Tec is 3-times stronger than vinyl and is highly resistant to harsh UV rays, water, mold and mildew, and tears and scratches. Available in 3-colors, Walnut, Charcoal and Black. $30-Option

At last I can use my hot tub again
Over the years the old top just filled with water and got so heavy I couldn't open it without help. I really hope the permaliner increases it's lifetime. I love the new one, I can open it with one hand, will be using tomorrow. Really happy with purchase and Roger Grant with YRC was the fellow that delivered it, was helpful and I enjoyed talking with him. We inspected it for damage and he put it in my garage for me. All around great purchase.

Nice material
Had it about a week, so far so good. My problems came with the shipping. I had to make contact to find out if my order shipped and to get tracking info. Then on delivery day the carrier driver calls me at 5pm telling me he is in a semi and can’t get into my neighborhood, can I meet him somewhere. I was at work for another 30 minutes and a half hour drive away from home. He said his boss wouldn’t let him wait an hour for me so I would need to reschedule. I asked if it could be put on a box truck and delivered to my house and was told that his depot doesn’t have box trucks it would be on another semi so I would have to arrange a meet with the driver when they called for delivery . So on Monday I met the driver and strapped my new cover on top of my Ford Explorer in the cold pouring rain and slowly drove home. I don’t get why Rec Warehouse would use a shipping company that doesn’t do residential deliveries for their covers. I’m sure cost has everything to do with it, so be warned, this cover will not be brought to your house so plan on having the delivery day free to meet the driver somewhere whenever they call at the last minute and to have a vehicle that can transport a 7ft long x 3 1/2ft wide box.
